When Family Visits, Get Out of Dodge

After a brief reprieve from the duties of life, I have again joined reality. It was a difficult decision to make. You see, I'm a Sagittarius and have a NEED to roam. I would have loved staying GONE but eventually the bills stacked up, phone messages accumulated and the ex-hubbie and "the man's" ex-wife started acting up. (I swear they do this in tandem to double the pleasure of it all.)

One of "the man's" brothers and his wife came to visit from Minnesota on Thursday night. This is what precipitated my reality vacation. They are nice and friendly "don't cha know", "yah, you betcha".
After a whole day of cleaning the house "Cinderella" style before they arrived, we decided to take many*rooood (*Minn. accent) trips. This, in fact, serves two purposes. It maintains the pristine new cleanliness that your house has, and secondly, it distracts them from getting too relaxed and wanting to stay longer.
We literally went from Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood to Cannon Beach in *twoooo days. After staying up late, drinking LOTS (including *Limoncelloooo) and putting about 800 miles on the car we safely delivered them back to the airport from which they came, breathed a sigh of relief, got a little "Saturday night" and took a well deserved nap.

Now I'm forced to ask: "Who's making dinner?" "What do you mean we have no groceries?"

Ok...I promise I'll come back to reality when we have some *foooood.

Welcome back! Sounds like you had a good time...but where are the stories of drunken flashing, etc. Or is that only when you're with me?

I've decided your man needs a name as the "quotations" are too hard for my sensitive eyeballs. What shall we call him?

I appreciate the constructive feedback. I don't know if I can call him Sam. He is so not the Sam type. I'll just call him by his nickname "Burt". Sorry, I mean Burt. He is much more of a Burt. In fact, I'm sort of an Ernie to his Burt. I guess that's why I married him! Smack me with a wet whip if my quotations offend again!!! xoxoxoxoxxo K

Yeah, if we called him Sam, I'd forever envision him as Sam the Eagle from the Muppets. Then I'd have to appreciate you enjoying Saturday night with Sam the Eagle. Wait...I kinda like that.
